InCycle announces the release of InRelease 2.4
InCycle Software just announces InRelease 2.4, the Agile Release Management solution for .Net teams that automates deployments from TFS to production.
Important features related to security, performance and integration with TFS have been added to allow customers to deploy their applications.
Set security by application version
We now have the ability to limit who is allowed to create a release for a given Application version. This can be set by user or TFS group.
Use TFS Groups for approval and security
We now have the ability to import TFS group in InRelease and use them in release paths as approver and to set security on application versions. When a group is used as an approver, e-mails notifications are sent to all group members. Any group members can perform the approval.
French e-mail notifications
French e-mail notifications are now available and are set by user in the user profile section.
Target stage in build template
You can now add a target stage in the build template allowing for release created by Team build to be pre-set to finish at a stage earlier than production.
Skip Deployment Option
We can now skip the deployment of a given component to a given stage. This supports additional release scenarios.
Performance improvement
In Application version a button and pop-up have been added to modify the TFS project selection. InRelease only connects to TFS when the user wants to edit that information. Since the TFS connection can be very slow on some environment, this improves performance significantly in many cases.
